| How do you reset this on a 93 caddy Seville? |
|
That's an OBD I car. Usually you can use a paper clip across two pins in the fuse box or connector and get the CE light to blink your code at you.
As far as reset, disconnect the battery for a bit. Within a few miles all the monitors will come back on, and if the problem exists the CE light will return. |

This car has 20k miles on it. Issue is a sticking tranny shift solenoid. Driving it with conditioner in the tranny fluid has helped. unlikely. 1993 the ECM only read information from emissions/fuel system. Is the vehicle exhibiting any engine/fuel issues? 20,000 miles, was it an old farts car? probably has carbon build up on the O2 sensor, plugs, inside the air plenum, IAC motor.... from never getting up to temperature. Being that it has 20,000 miles, and is almost 20 yrs old....some of the sensors may be failing....age does that ya know |

It slammed into reverse and drive at first, but now shifts much smoother. The guy died in 94 and the car has been started like 5-10 times since. I was told to drive it regularly as the new property manager. |
