I have this spot on my bicep that turned red and started burning while I was in the shower. It feels almost like a sunburn, looks like one too. It smells weird tho, like old motor oil and grease. I didnt notice a damn thing until I was in the shower... as if it had a bit of a reaction with the water. What the hell would cause such a thing? I was cleaning out my barns today... but never had anything spill on me, nor messed with any chemical containers (that I knew of, it was mostly trash like old pipes and hoses and what not) it stops right where my shirt would be... so Im trying to find out what the hell would splash on me and cause a burn |

I once fell asleep with an overfull Zippo in my shirt pocket and woke up with a nasty chemical burn from leaking lighter fluid. It looked and (OUCH!) felt like a moderately bad scald from steam or boiling water, and healed up the same way. Sounds like it could be something you rubbed up against, rather than something that splashed. I mean, you got it on your shirt, it soaked through, and got on you that way. Maybe raw turpentine or creosote on a pole or wall? Mineral spirits on a piece of machinery? |

I once picked up this old log off the ground and about 10 minutes later my left underarm and surrounding area has a big ass rash. It raised up like a bugbite, but it was about 2" diameter. It burned like hell and took a few days to completely go away. Or it could be ringworm. I got that from a farm once. |
