Anybody else got a Traverse or Acadia out there, looking for reliability reports especially for 2013-2016 models.

My wife is driving a 2010 Traverse, and it has been an absolute hunk of shit. It has been rendered un-driveable 4-5 different times, and the A/C went out today.

And before all the "All GM is junk blah, blah, blah...."The three other GMs I have owned have been g2g.

We liked our 2012 Traverse alright but the wife wanted a smaller SUV so she now drives an Equinox. Neither are very good in the snow but I see you are in TX so that's probably not a factor for you.

Not a factor at all in the San Antonio area.

I need to get rid of this junk pile, but the only thing more ridiculous than truck prices are crossover SUV prices.

Cool a fellow local.

Our w2012 has been great. I did have to have the AC serviced recently at 95000 miles. Developed a small leak. The early models from 2009 2010 had a couple of bugs but those were worked out in the later models.
2012 and newer should be gtg
My last Chevy truck, 2001 z71, had 354,000 miles on it and still going strong had the transmission serviced at 325000 and the rear-end at 250,000 miles

This is what I have read as well, but it is difficult to buy the same vehicle that has given us so many problems.

I'll bet you have a leak in the short ac line from the compressor to the condenser.  Or a leaking evap core (or cores)... I work in a GMC parts department.

Umm, I'd recommend fixing the ac and then parting ways. Quickly.

Look at the 1964 1\2 mustangs.  They had a lot of bugs. The 1965 model work a bunch out. It got better and better by the 68/69 models.

You have other choices but the next bigger model is a Tahoe which is sooo over priced. It's highway robbery what they ask for them.
The next smaller model is the Equinox. I don't know much about them but a friend has one and hasn't had any problems yet.

The Traverse gets you the space you need but at a somewhat reasonable price. I'd love a  Tahoe but cannot reasonably accept the pricing. Not for a 4-5 year buy and hold.

Yes AC line leak, plus the blower motor is crapping out. Blower barely blows after the car has run for more than an hour.

How about newer models? These have troubles as well?

We have a bunch of Traverse and Acadias in the fleet. Biggest problem has been A/C compressors blowing up. Need to clean the entire system and replace expansion valves and condenser plus compressor. Transmissions only last 90-95K miles some less.

I have an '08 Acadia only thing to go wrong with it was transmission, had to be built twice plus a bad converter. Finally replaced struts at 135K and axles at 150K but that is expected.

I like the Traverse/Acadia better than the Equinox/Terrians they have piston, timing chain and transmission issues. Not counting crappy radios.

My brother's wife had one.  It was a shitbox.  2010, i think

Most had transmission issues the 3 5 R waveplate goes out losing 3rd 5th and reverse, plus early 08 09 models plagued with electronics problems and steering rack problems. Not to mention awful resale value once they have age or mileage on them.

My wife and I have put around 40,000 (it's got around 60,000 total) miles on our 2012 since we bought it in Dec 2015. It's been almost boringly reliable. Oil changes and just put new pads and rotors on it.

Oh yes. I'm a diehard GM guy, but the Acadia / Traverse models are junk.

I drive a 2004 Trailblazer currently. That's the last midsize suv that GM got right...
