Really struggling to see a down side here. Either way we come out ahead.

We don't have a hair on our ass now unless she gets on that plane and goes. Fuck 'em if they don't like it
|

I keep thinking about that scene in the Indiana Jones movie, where they wake up in the back of the plane to find the crew has bailed out....

If they do follow through with this threat, I hope they are prepared for the strongly worded complaint that will be sent from our strong (but very diverse and inclusive) state department.
|

If we don’t challenge it, it sends a really bad message. And we really are f*cked!!

This was said before an AWB went thru congress.
Now there's an AWB passed thru congress. She's safe now. Her handlers are happy. |

Though I don’t think we should let China tell us what to do. Now is a poor time for us to have a two front war. We don’t even have a lead smelting plant in the US anymore. They make 90% of our drugs and everything else. It will be a sh*t show for sure.

Only reason Pelosi is dragging her sagging tits over to Asia is her stock in micro chips. Gotta make sure she gets those kickbacks.
Prove me wrong! And China can blow her ass out of the sky, I could give a shit less. She’s on their payroll anyway. |

Quoted: China says it WILL shoot Pelosi's plane down IF she travels to Taiwan under US fighter escort: Speaker refuses to confirm trip - as Beijing warns it would 'cross a red line' and aircraft carrier holds drills in the South China Sea China fired its most direct warning shot yet amid reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may visit Taiwan on Friday, saying that if the speaker's plane is accompanied by U.S. fighter jets, they would not rule out shooting them down. 'If US fighter jets escort Pelosi's plane into Taiwan, it is invasion. The PLA has the right to forcibly dispel Pelosi's plane and the US fighter jets, including firing warning shots and making tactical movement of obstruction. If ineffective, then shoot them down,' Hu Xijin, a commentator with the Chinese state-affiliated Global Times, wrote on Twitter. Earlier China warned the U.S. against crossing a 'red line' as it released not-so-subtle warnings against the speaker, which China has reasoned is number three in line in U.S. government, from visiting Taiwan. The U.S. must be prepared to 'bear all consequences' if Pelosi chooses to visit Taiwan, Chinese foreign minister Zhao Lijian said in a briefing Friday. National Security Spokesman John Kirby said Friday the Pentagon has seen no indication of a military threat. 'We just don't have any concrete indications of something happening from a military perspective on the Chinese part,' Kirby said. 'There's no reason for it to come to come to blows, to come to increased physical tension. There's no reason for that because there's been no change in American policy,' he added. The speaker has not confirmed whether she will visit the island democracy during an Asian tour that includes stops in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. In response to a question about the potential Taiwan trip on Friday, Pelosi only said:'I don't talk about my travel because it's a security issue. Still, tensions have mounted over the possibility, with the Chinese navy monitoring the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier's activities in the South China Sea. The Reagan and its strike group left Singapore on Monday and headed to the South China Sea. The nuclear-powered warship was cruising about 185 km (115 miles) from the contested Fiery Cross Reef on Thursday, according to the South China Post. If the vessels continue in the direction they are headed, they will reach the Taiwan Strait. Two other vessels - identified by Vietnam-based maritime observer Duan Dang as a Chinese Type 052D destroyer and a Type 054A frigate - were seen 27km and 23km away. Meanwhile the Chinese navy is conducting military exercises off its southern coast near Guangdong, following exercises in nearby Hainan province. President Biden said last week the Pentagon thought a Taiwan trip was 'not a good idea.' 'Well, I think that the military thinks it's not a good idea right now,' Biden said in response to a question about Pelosi's reported trip. 'But I don't know what the status of it is.' Quoted: You realize the escorts may prove effective and they can't shoot her down? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Let’s war-game this out a bit, shall we? There are a few possible paths here: 1. Pelosi doesn’t go. The US looks like a bitch to the rest of the world. China is emboldened regarding their intentions with Taiwan, making an invasion more likely. 2. Pelosi goes, and they don’t shoot down her plane. China will look like a bitch to the rest of the world. I’m not sure how likely this is - culturally they are much more worried about “face” than we are. And they’ve been pretty vocal about this threat. If I were Pelosi, I would NOT be comfortable getting on that plane. 3. Pelosi goes, and they attack/shoot down her plane. (Remember those 5-gen fighters they may or may not have?) What then? We have 2 paths forward from here: 3a. We go to war. I don’t like China, but am I willing to send my soon-to-be-military-age son to fight and die because China killed Nancy Pelosi? 3b. We don’t go to war, and look like a bitch to the rest of the world. China is emboldened regarding their intentions with Taiwan, making an invasion more likely. There is only one path forward that doesn’t end in either war or us being diminished on the world stage. They gotta send her. I just really don’t like the options available in 3a or 3b. And I think China knows those options suck, and they’re banking on us not sending her at all, which is what I think we’ll ultimately do. You realize the escorts may prove effective and they can't shoot her down? Option 3c. Nancy flies a military plane with a fighter escort. Just outside of waters claimed by China the US fighters divert to another destination and Nancy continues to Taiwan. China can say we complied with their orders because the fighters did not enter the disputed airspace. We claim victory because Nancy did fly to Taiwan. The key is China does not want our fighters in the airspace around Taiwan. The semiofficial tweet gives both of us an out, China is not saying they will go to war because Nancy visits Taiwan. China is objecting to US FIGHTERS in the airspace around Taiwan. They have very carefully changed the issue from Nancy visiting Taiwan to US jet fighters escorting her into Taiwan air space. They gave us a path to peace. I hope that sleepy Joe or one of his advisers sees it. ETA. Taiwan’s Air Force can escort her plane. They can make it look like an honor guard. |

Could this be the pre-Midterm false flag event people are watching for?
If her plane engines ingested a flock of geese they’d blame it on the Chinese. |

I just wish AOC and Illan Ohmar were on the the plane with her with fat Stacy Abrams as stewardess as it goes down.

Quoted: While I hate Pelosi, and certainly wouldn't cry if she was no longer on this planet. If China did something that stupid that would be an act of war and would give Biden the reason he's been looking for to start a war to pull eye's away from his failure of President. So if that were to happen it would be a huge gift to Biden and almost guarantee him another term, and therefor finish destroying this nation. View Quote |

In 1971 China vice chairmen Lin Biao was in trouble in some internal CCP squable and tried to escape to the USSR. His plane was shot down. This threat from China doesn't look like a official government threat. It's like a opinion peice, but the guy is a CCP representing. So the big guy Xi has the option of giving the order to shoot down the plane or not without looking weak. There is probably some big under the table requirement to give China something in exchange for the safety of Pelosi flight.

They make stupid empty threats all the time. Literally one or two threads of one of their big threats every month and nothing ever happens.

Did she land yet? I thought we were going to get a flight tracer of her plane.

Nancy bows to the Chinese: House Speaker Pelosi begins Asia tour with NO mention of Taiwan on her itinerary after Beijing threatened 'unbearable consequences' if she visited the island democracy
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not have any apparent plans to visit the island democracy of Taiwan after Chinese diplomats threatened 'unbearable consequences' if she visited the self-ruled island under Chinese occupation. In a press release on Sunday, her office said she would visit four Asian countries — but Taiwan was not on the list. 'Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading a Congressional delegation to the Indo-Pacific region, including visits to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan,' the press release read. It specified that the visit would include those countries, but did not specify whether Pelosi — who is number three in the line of presidential succession — might make other stops. 'The trip will focus on mutual security, economic partnership and democratic governance in the Indo-Pacific region,' it said. 'In Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan, our delegation will hold high-level meetings to discuss how we can further advance our shared interests and values, including peace and security, economic growth and trade, the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, human rights and democratic governance.' She is said to be arriving in Singapore first on Monday, where she will spend two days. according to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. But her trip has been met with much scrutiny by Chinese officials, who have warned that Washington would 'bear all the consequences' if Pelosi did visit Taiwan and have threatened to take 'resolute and forceful measures' against the US if the trip goes ahead.
