At least one (maybe more) of China's western provinces is majority muslim. There is a seperatist movement from that region which occasionally makes the news. |

Swoop in and start sucking up all their profits. That way if they stop the downward spiral, they still can't get back to where they were. Trust me, there are enough sexually-frustrated, oppressed, young men in China that when you drop that last straw onto the camel's back, you're going to see a shitload of violence go down. The PLA is going to slaughter thousands, but I'm betting quite a few of them are going to be right alongside the revolters. There's going to be a significant population decline as a result of starvation and civil war, but either the ChiComs will come out on top and be as brutal as ever but an economic failure, or the Chinese will finally gain their freedom.
