Hey guys, I've got an issue where my video playback goes choppy for a couple seconds and is then fine.

I had the klite codec pack that I've been using for years with Media Player Classic, but previously with XP and Vista.  I read on a tech forum that Windows 7 doesnt need extra codecs, so I uninstalled them.  Still happens sometimes.
Its not a shitty computer by any means either.  All drivers are up to date, latest BIOS flashed, and have run memory tests up the ass to no avail.

Any ideas?

Install the Mega codec pack, AND the 64 bit supplemental pack.  I also use the Media Player Classic that comes with the package.

You can uninstall a lot of Windows 7 crap that you couldn't do in XP like Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player, I never use either.

Dont really watch youtube videos that much, so I havent noticed them being choppy.

I pay for my stuff, but I have noticed it on digital media as well as bluray discs.

I just did that last week, it was doing it before, and it does it when I disable the OC
