| I recently bought a barrel that the salesman said was chrome lined. I bought it because it was what I wanted otherwise and it was an OK priice. How do I know if it is really chrome lined? I don't see and markings except for a proof mark and "MP" |

Sort of dull and grey. Try to touch it with a cold blue touch-up pen, the cold blue should wipe right off of the chrome. |

Yeah thats what it looks like. Thanks guys. I feel better now. I'm a noob to the black rifle thing my first build is nearly complete so I appreciate the info.
The one thing that is bizarre though is hand guard prices, you can buy a complete lower for the price of some of the handguards. And I have bought a lot of aluminum extrusion in my career and I can tell you that the raw material is worth about 5 bucks. |
