I started up Chrome, I started up Firefox. I've been browsing arfcom for 15 minutes, but Chrome has yet to load GD. WTF? Why is Chrome and absolute dinosaur compared to Firefox? Does anybody use that crap? Is there any way to make it not suck?
Oh, look, it just loaded. F Sergey Brin & Eric Schmidt.

Used Chrome for years on 5 different PC's tablets and phones. Zero issues. |

Chrome has been fine for me, but I noticed that last night, when loading pages, I get the 'can't display webpage sad facey' and that's never happened before. I'm chalking it up to my ATT Uverse, which has been quite stable for me, but it's been glitching last night and today.
Look at all the 'errors' on AR15 last night. Win 7, 6GB RAM, i3 3.2gHz. Chris |

Update: I'm sticking with my original thesis, Chrome sucks. I uninstalled it completely, ran Malware Bytes, downloaded some fresh antivirus software, ran CCleaner to get rid of a bunch of garbage and clean up the registry, and came back a day later. Chrome still takes 5 minutes or more to load ar15.com from the start page. I guess that the current version of the software just doesn't like an old system. This machine is probably 8-9 years old (but still the newest computer I own).
I'll ignore the gratuitous advice to just buy a new machine - there is only so much money, and little to spare. I'm trying to get my credit cards paid off before I buy more "nice to have" stuff.

Chrome is great because it is very lightweight and works well on just about any device. It also uses addons and apps to great effectiveness. If you are doing end to end encryption on an app, Chrome can help you build that right in as well.
Now, Chrome is great, but certain parts of it suck. One part in particular: Security!!!! That motherfucking browser gets fucked all the time by malware. It is also very hard to un-fuck in certain scenarios. The other browsers have factory reset buttons that take them back to install, but it is hard as shit to get everything chrome related off your registry. You need an uninstaller program, at the very least. That said, it is just about the only browser I still use. Firefox sucks. That oversized, crashing, ugly fucking thing is the AltaVista to Google's Yahoo. I can't handle it. If I don't use Chrome, I would use the latest iteration of IE or "Edge" or whatever the fuck Windows 10 calls the (technically not)re-branding, which ain't bad. Run malwarebytes and custom scan for rootkits too. Now uninstall chrome with Revo uninstaller. Restart twice for kicks and redownload chrome. Unfucked, perchance? |

When you uninstall chrome you are leaving a metric shit ton of registry entries telling chrome how to refuck itself next time it is installed. You need to clear out EVERYTHING EVER RELATED TO CHROME. There is no real way to do that, but the one kinda way to do that is using a program called Revo-Uninstaller, which will run the shitty basic uninstall and then will scan your registry for chrome entries. You want to delete every cocksucking one of those, or chrome will never work right again. - IT |

Yup, chrome is fast. Might have to delete cookies every few months but click and the page is there. *click* Quoted:

The only thing Chrome doesn't do well is java, from my experience. |

I've run into one or two bad sites, but as a rule, my experience with Firefox is overwhelmingly positive. I didn't know about the Revo thing. I'll try it. |
