You have problems with no audio? I cast a show, video but no audio. Unplug chromecast and plug it back in, recast show and have audio.
Is there a fix or is mine just broken? |

I've never experienced that before.
The issue I get is the pause feature goes away when streaming from my phone (Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube) but it shows up on my girlfriend's phone when she's connected to my Wi-Fi. Sometimes she'll be upstairs (we live in the same building and she uses my Wi-Fi at her place too) and I'll text her to pause my show if I want to use the bathroom or get a snack. Edit to ask: have you tried a factory reset? That worked for a neighbor's Fire Stick when she was having connection problems. |

Do you have another hdmi port you can try to connect to and see if it happens again? could have a dead spot on one of the pins or starting to go bad. |

Never had that problem, but the suggestions of trying a new HDMI port on the TV and factory reset are good options.
Have you verified your TV isn't on mute? Or they got didn't mute from within the app you're using? If you use a different input do you get audio? Meaning cable, DVD player, stereo, gaming system, etc ? |
