Okay, all this hype for the big year of the cicadas, so far I've heard a few and seen one shell.  The media had this hyped up like we'd be shoveling their exoskeletons off the lawn with scoop shovels.

There are piles of them here and the sound is loud enough in some areas that you can't  use a cell  phone outside.

Saw a bunch up in Northern VA earlier in the month, not a single one in Virginia Beach.  I'm pretty disappointed...seriously.

You're lucky.  When they hit Ohio in 2004, they were everywhere and the noise was deafening.

WE woods here are crazy loud with the critters. I haven't actually seen one but I hear them
