How long does it take after you drop acid before you start painting?

It actually is quite an inspired piece.

Congrats on a great job.

Here’s just the background drawing.  No paint yet, just pigment rubbed into plywood with a rag… 6x8 feet.

Rub pigment with rag into wood, do the same with graphite.  Then orbital sander. Repeat.

What happened to the round hexagon spattered sphere to flatten it out on the SE area?

The person who complains most, and is the most critical of others has the most to hide.

The sphere is nice and round in the earlier outlines.    In the last image, it makes a short cut line from the right side toward the bottom without the circular bulge out if that makes sense.

Elephant, 3/4 view from front, he's walking angled toward me but will pass in front of me if he keeps walking.

Is it finished as Japanese brush and ink, modern art, Rorschach test, or is it sketching an outline for what else may be?

Can you share the details of media used, substrate, and size of work?    Such as "Enamel and latex on primed plywood sheet, 2 ft x 4ft" or whatever.

All big.

The landscape with honeycomb orb is 6 x 8 feet.

All are on plywood panel (except early works on aluminum.)

Dry pigment and graphite with latex housepaint.

The Elephant is 77” x 48”

Looking good.  You need a picture with a yardstick next to it so we can really appreciate the scale.

How the hell have I missed this thread?

I don't consider myself artsy at all, but my wife says I am because of music and what I can do with metal and wood.

Your stuff resonates and captivates me.  Fucking awesome stuff dude.  You're intermingling micro and macro ideas in one image.

Seriously inspiring man.
