Do you guys bother?
I have one more counter-claymore and I have done all the challenges except sniper head shots.  I have finished elite and humiliation, but not killer.  Go figure
Its driving me nuts.

I've completed most of them, I think the only ones I've not finished are some of the SMG's, all the shotguns, and some of the sniper rifles, might be 2 or 3 in the humiliation section I haven't completed yet. The only ones I try to get done right away are weapons challenges to unlock the accessories, headshots I don't really worry about I don't care about the camo but they eventually get done when I use a gun enough.

I try, but I'm shitty at getting head shots.

Playing only hardcore, I just aim for COM and kill them that way.

I'm going for all the prestiege modes, once I get done with that I'll do the challenges.

i go through all the weapon challenges (at least the marksman ones) while ranking up... i am about to hit level 7 prestige...

the boot camp challenges are pretty easy and will complete themselves practically...

i don't go out of my way for operations since i play mostly domination/HQ...

killer challenges i typically get all of them except for counter claymore/counter C4 just by playing the game... i don't really go out of my way for the rest... a lot of them just happen... the only challenge i really try for is the "misery loves company" one... i think its funny to sneak up behind someone with a cooking grenade...

Its hard to give away that headshot to kill yourself, but it was only three times.

There's no way in hell I'm doing prestige.  I just got to level 55 & that's where I plan on staying.  I suck so bad at that game, that by the time I got all the prestiges done, COD8 would be out, and I'd be the only guy left playing COD4 by myself!

Want to one-on-one?

I wish I hadn't done prestige, but now that I have I figure I'll go all the way.

As for challenges - I work my way through the weapons challenges one at a time for points, though I'm not too concerned with headshots and golden guns until I reach prestige 10.  I do work on all of the other challenges from Bootcamp to Elite just to have some goals and mix it up a little - usually shoot for 1-2 challenges per match; otherwise, it may get old pretty quick.

I still suck with C4, shotguns and semi-auto sniper rifles.

I haven't worried about challenges, I just get the one's that come naturally to score some extra XP to get to the next prestige...I think I'm at 6 or 7 now.  If and when I hit lvl 10 I'll start filling those in.

For those going through prestige, what games do you mostly play?

I try to get Headquarters more than anything.  I find myself getting around 600 points on an average game.  If I complete some challenges or marksmanship I'll get about 1000-1600.  I think I'm on my level 7 Prestige, rank 17 or something close to that and just want to find the fastest way to level 10.  I usually do complete the marksman challenges and some of the others but don't go out of my way for them.  I find more rewards for getting kills.  Sometimes if I'm lucky, I get to play headquarters on shipment, then it gets real interesting!

I usually level up my weopons on Domination, I can average about 35 kills per game. For points I play Search and Destroy, 50 points per kill and 100 for planting the bomb, I can get 1000 points per game sometimes. Of course, you don't respawn and there have been games where I walked away with 0 points

same way here. If I complete a challenge then fine and dandy, but I don't really try to do them. Most of the time I don't even know until it pops up on the screen.

I play Hardcore Team Deathmatch.  I'm not trying to level up fast, just playing the games I enjoy and flipping my prestige while I'm at it.

+1.  I am not racing anyone.  I play 95% hardcore games.  I can't stand the regular games when it takes 10 shots to drop someone.

That is what is pissing me off about Infinity Ward...they keep pushing back releasing the mappack to the PC users..PC made this game, and all the console gamers that play COD4 jumped ship as soon as GTA4 came out...so logically they got the mappack...

I do all the assault, lmg, and smg challenges, boot camp, and killer very systematically to get the XP and because constantly changing weapons is making me a better player.  I'm at lvl44 in my first prestige, and I got here pretty quick, playing mostly domination.  If there were some serious incentive to keep prestiging, ie double weapon attachments or new perks, I'd just go all the way to my 10th, but I think I may focus on getting all the gold guns and not prestiging again.  We'll see, ive got 11 promotions to go before I have to decide again.

I believe GTA IV will be short lived for most arfcommers.    Tonight many were coming back to COD4.    Maybe I'm wrong, but many have said GTA IV gets old pretty quick.    We will see.

As for the challenges, I don't worry much, except for the marksmanship ones.    I work on a few of those, but don't switch weapons for others.   I play with what works for me best, and play to play.    If a challenge happens, it happens.

For those contemplating prestiege, it is kind of refreshing to start over.   I look forward to reaching certain levels to get my favorite guns back, or getting enough kills for optics.    It also makes me use different weapons, and change my tactics slightly.    I'm not a nube tuber, but I did a bit at the beginning of my latest prestiege.

I think something like that should be changed.  That would definitly be something to strive for wouldn't it!  There should be at least some little thing that holds you above the rest.  After all, you decided to reset your challenges all those times, why not have something more than a different symbol to show for it.  Like on Halo, when you complete all the challenges they give you a sword that you carry on your back.  I know you can't really use that either but I think you get my point.   It still doesn't stop me from going all the way to level 10 prestige though.

GTA 4 is a great game, in single player.  The multiplayer is fun, but isn't the best to navigate.  Takes a little getting used to.  The interface with COD4 is very easy.

COD4 allows more comm with your teammates and that's what really sells me on it.  Some of you motherfuckers are too damn funny.
