Ever notice that, no matter where you are at, the second you brew a pot of coffee, everyone appears holding a coffee cup and wondering if they can have some? They can't take one minute to actually make it but as soon as someone else does, It's game on.

I did it last week at work but just as they all figured it was ready, I poured it all into a thermos and walked out, put it in the truck and came back in and sat at a table and watched. It wasn't 30 seconds before a couple walked out of their cubicles, walked over to the coffee maker, stood their with a stupid look on their face, felt the pot, then turned around and walked back into cubicle hell. Oh yesh they wanted some but actually make it, nope, wasn't going to happen.

Going to do that from now on or tell them I'll leave a bit and leave about one ounce to burn onto the bottom of the carafe.

Nope, never noticed that. But then again we have 2 espresso machines, 2 k cup machines, 2 drip machines, a dozen french presses, a couple of chemexes, and a bunch of tea. Nobody would ever agree on what kind of coffee to make so they just make their own

Sounds like OP is complaining about the work coffee maker etiquette. Fuck buying a french press for use at work when there's already a coffee maker.

OP, keep that thermos handy. You should start counting the days until someone else finally makes their own damn pot of coffee.
