It’s time for the next installment of Deep South. We heard rumors that was too easy, which was adorable, so we made adjustments accordingly. Bring your excuses. Come and enjoy. In keeping with other events all runners will be required to carry all gear,(Firearms, ammo and chug) past the obstacle course. You will need a means to carry it as well. Join us in Vicksburg, MS. May 14th through the 16th for Cola Warrior Deep South V You must sign up in the link and state that (you are in) in the thread. Note if you are running night or combat mention it in the thread as well as the link. Bookmark this thread and watch the run list. If you are on the list and aren't able to attend, let me know two weeks in advance at the latest. Local accommodations: There are multiple motels within 15 minutes. We have multiple casinos as well as a large civil war park. INFORMATION AND RULES LISTEN TO CW EVENT STAFF - if they tell you not to do something and you don’t do it, you will be asked to leave. No loaded firearms in camp. Only the hosts will be armed. You must sign liability release waiver for injuries when you arrive on site. Everyone, not just runners. Bring legal form of identification. Follow all firearms safety rules. No handling firearms after drinking. No airsoft at this event. Do not bring them. No items of a sexual nature, there are kids around. If you break any of these rules you will be banned from this and all future Cola Wars. No personal ATVs/Side by Sides/Dirt bikes. Unless you have been in contact with me or another one of the hosts, leave them at home. Don't wander around the property. No playing on the obstacles or use of the range prior to your run. There will be penalties if you do. You'll have plenty of chances to fail it during your run. No spectators at the range. It is not a hang out spot. If you want to see a friend shoot that is fine but leave afterwards. Donate Sign Up Required Items: Rifle of choice + 2 mags for said rifle. Pistol of choice + 2 mags for said pistol. 72oz of cola of your choice or a gallon of milk. 6 12oz cans, 3 24oz cans, or 1 2 liter with a 5oz chaser are the only allowed sizes. (Other nonstandard sizes will be considered a 2 liter) Ear and Eye protection. COURSE: 5 OBSTACLES PEEPS/AK (The AK must be disassembled down to the bolt removed from carrier, then reassembled, hammer dropped and placed on safe.) RUN 1/2 mile SHOOT CHUG 72oz carbonated beverage of choice. Or 1 gallon of milk. COURSE RULES: 5 minute penalty for each failed obstacle. You must put in an honest attempt on each obstacle, none of this one hand and count bullshit. Last Peep must be in mouth before run. You must complete the half mile run in 10mins or less or face a 30min penalty (stop being fat/slow) 5 minute penalty for each target left un-hit. 10 minutes total allowed on range. 5 minute penalty for each carbonated beverage un-chugged. 10 minute total chug time allowed, everything left after will be penalized. 6 12oz cans, 3 24oz cans, or 1 2liter with a 5oz chaser are the only allowed sizes. If you vomit before finishing a 12oz can, no matter how much is left that can it is a 5 minute penalty. If you vomit before finishing a 24oz can, no matter how much is left that can is a 10 minute penalty. If you vomit before finishing 2 liter it is a 30 min penalty Night run only: 5 minute penalty for light ND, 10 minute penalty for prolonged use. All night runs must be suppressed, rifle and suppressed pistol. Restrooms: Porta-johns on site. Bring TP in case we run out. Camping: There is plenty of room to camp, please only camp in the designated areas. If in doubt, ask a member of the staff. Camping is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday only. GPS coordinates will be sent out a week in advance via the email that you signed up with. Make sure you sign up with a valid email address. Do not post these anywhere. Questions are great, but please keep an eye on this original post (OP) for the latest and greatest info. This is a family event. We look forward to seeing the next generation of Cola Warriors advance through the ranks. If you've never been to a CW event, you won't be disappointed, these are the greatest human beings you could ever hope to puke with. Note: if you are running night or combat comment in the thread as well as the link. No other replies in the comments below will be counted. If you say you are in and no show, you are banned for life, and nobody wants that, man. Hit that sign up link. Let me know at [email protected]. There is no entry fee. That being said - organizing meals, latrines and incidentals take bucks. Average cost per attendee is around $75 per person. Please consider donating so we can have the things. The list of donors will be posted below. Much thanks for whatever you can give. From the hosts: When you arrive, park and come sign in. You will be put on the run list immediately. There will be staff at the site to check you in. You will run when you are called, so take care of whatever you need to take care of PRIOR TO BEING CALLED TO RUN. If you're the next runner on the list then get your gear and get on deck immediately. If you fall within the next 3 runners to be called you need to get your gear to the line quickly and wait to be called. Don't waste our time trying to find you. Knowing where you are on the list IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY and we will have it displayed in camp. If staff calls you and are still waiting on you 30 minutes later because -insert excuse here- then you are getting bumped off the list and we'll get back to you IF WE HAVE TIME. We have upped the number of runners this year and need to be as efficient as possible. This event will hold awards by 12pm noon on Saturday at the latest. If you have to leave prior to awards arrange to have some one bring your gift. |
