yeah he's ripping on Heller and a couple other things. But he's holding a revolver and is using proper trigger discipline
|

Saw that in a bar. When Colbert launched into his "but anything can now be considered a militia. You and your drinking buddies are a militia...etc" me and my friend looked at each other and said "Hell Yeah" Actually thought it was kinda funny. Also was impressed by his weapons discipline and the fact that he had the balls to wave a pistol (fake or not) on TV. |
By proper trigger discipline you mean finger on the trigger at ALL fucking times? Funny segment. A slight parody of gun owners. I was amused. |
Remind me not to visit when you have your guns out then. |
I mean that seriously. My hippie stoner BIL and I have a had more than a few arguments that at some point included the phrase "But I saw on the daily show..." ![]() |
I wish the writer strike would come back. That was a breath of fresh air. |
Yep, I know a field grade officer in the Army who once was talking about something Bush said that sounded absolutely off the wall. I didn't believe it. I said, "Ma'am, where did you hear that?". She said, "The Colbert Report". I gave her that face, spun around in my chair and looked up what Bush actually said, which hardly even resembled the disasterous line she claimed he said.

Re-runs are just as bad
That is truly terrifying |
Yup He's making fun of conservatives. Just like every other show on TV... Just like NPR... Just like most movies you watch these days... Some of my friends still wonder why I stick to self selected entertainment rather than scheduled programming. The best way to destroy something is not to ban it,but to mock it. |

Colbert is brilliant... Watch the roast of GW on google Bush's face is PRICELESS! Here |
Do you really shoot poodles? Ok...no...the STFU. If you are entertained, that's the point. |
|
The daily show is lame. It is too left, and no longer funny at all. It is no longer a comedy show, as the agenda is just too thick. Colbert, on the other hand, is a true comedy show and he SLAYS me. Colbert fricken murders people in his interviews and is a great host. I know the Daily Show started it all, but it is boring. Nobody should consider either one of them as a legitimate news source. You'd think that would go without saying though. |
Never have been by Colbert,or any of the other folks. There's plenty more to entertain me. Your entertainment will, over time, change your views,as with any other medium you choose to be entertained or taught by. So long as you're fine with that-enjoy! |
+1 Colbert is hilarious. The Daily Show is just so negative and cynical, I just can't take it any more. |

He actually lives in Montclair NJ (liberal USA) and frequents a small diner my wife and I go to every once in awhile and she also mets up with her friends there about once a month to 'talk'. Cobert comes in like a regular guy and is usually busy doing his thing. We were there right after the Jane Fonda wacko episode when she was all over him and he didn't know what to do. As he is passing our table, I decided to bust his balls a bit and asked him, "So Steve, what did you wife think about JF's little lap-dance on you?" Without hesitation, he said "I'll let you know when she starts speaking to me again" and then laughed about it. My wife and her BF are ball busters to begin with and are always busting on him and he is real cool about it. All politics aside, he is a decent Joe in the real world. My wife's friend went grew up in the same town as Jon Stewart but is a couple years younger. His nickname was 'Lee-bo' for Libowitz, another down to earth guy putting politics aside. |
We talked, and we decided you're not one of us. You're one of THEM. |
The first half of that vid was great...once he plugged in his video, though, it just couldnt end fast enough... |
