I really liked him up until he started crying for affirmative action. How he would never would have made it to where he was without it. Instead of with his own wits and actions. Then with maobama bullshit. I would not piss on him if he was on fire.
I do like Condolezza Rice though. Hope she does not go the way powell did. |

Back in the day.....when he was Chairman of the Joint Chief's of Staff, I had the honor to meet and talk with Gen. Powell for about 40 minutes. He impressed me as a very intelligent man, who, immediately put others at ease. I was a PO1/E-6 at the time. I think he got a very raw deal as Secretary of State, and perhaps out of his league. That said, he was, and I am sure, still is a decent guy. That does not mean that I agree with his politics. |

Fairly or unfairly I hold him partially responsible for fighting the limited war in GW 1 and leaving Saddam in power. I know it was ordered by Bush 41 but he should have driven on to Baghdad when we had the huge coalition (accidently on purpose. ) And ended Saddams bullshit once and for all.
I wouldn't blame him entirely, but I think he had a huge desire and influence to end the war early. Oh, and he endorsed BHO. Screw 'em both. |

I disagree with weak "Political mind" I think his political acumen got him where he was in the Military, saying the right thing depending on who was in office at the time and talking a good game. I see all the time an African Americans in the service who can speak intelligently and keep themselves out of trouble get put on the fast track for promotions and special assignments, when they are no more qualified than anyone else. They just seem special because it is outside the norm for blacks.
I have 20+years of military service in 3 different services and it is across the board. ! also cant stand him. I think they were making fun of him satirically in "Mars Attacks" remember the black General who was bragging to his wife about if he kept his mouth shut and such would make Joint Chief of staff? |
