I am planning on asking pattymcn to handle the cash. Paypal, check or MO. Depends on whether patty can do this for us and what she prefers. muddawgin is driving across country with his 3 kids and trailer. I am not sure if he will have access to paypal or even internet when he gets there. |
He said he would be able to use his mother's computer to check in when he gets there. Count me in for a donation. |

I am working on the details and am waiting to see where muddawgin winds up. Nobody is sure where exactly he is heading other than it will be somewhere in OR. There are a few of us ready to let the others know if he shows up or establishes contact. For those who are traveling over Christmas we will have enough to get things started, I believe. Not certain about the kids but I believe he has 3 small girls. I haven't seen anything on the news, ie no Amber alerts, etc but that may not mean a lot. I hope he gets a good attorney ASAP once he gets there. I will keep everyone posted. |
He has two girls and a boy. There should be no Amber alerts, his wife does know that he was taking them and gave permission. I'll let him explain the details when he gets online if he wants to. |

Yeah, thanks for the update. I suppose I shouldn't be shocked but still am. He needn't feel that he should explain anything to us at all. Just want to help out a little. Shit like that could happen to most any of us and none of us would handle it well. |
Um, I hope I can disabuse you of that notion.  Every member is valuable and important--and counts equally. Woe to the mod or staff member who treats non-paying members different than Team members.  Everyone here contributes in one way or another--some financially, some with expertise, some with work at other member's homes--and many other ways. Thanks for YOUR contribution to the board. Oh, tacked.

He should be on his way. I helped him load some of his stuff into his trailer on wednesday afternoon. He said he would be leaving shortly after I left. I drove by his place thursday and did not see his vehicle there. |
Does he have an attorney in OR who can receive and administer the fund? I'm assuming his wife will be seeking the return of the children and his legal problems are going to be significant. |
The oldest is a girl about 9yrs, she loves the outdoors and quite talkative. The middle is a boy about 6yrs, also loves the outdoors and makes a pretty mean marshmallow over the fire. The little one is around 2yrs and very cute, specially in attitude  I won't give names as I don't have Rusty's permission to do that. The kids stayed out in 15deg. weather for four hours making hotdogs and roasting marshmallows with out a complaint of the cold. They are some real troopers and it was easy to see their dad did a good job raising them. Do not hesitate in helping, as these are good folks GM Almost forgot. I'm in! |
