Been with Heacock for years. I noticed last year about a $200 a year jump in price. They also changed underwriters. 1966 Mustang GT fastback, insured for $65k. Right at $700 a year. I never drive it. Yea, my bad. Just wondering if this price is inline with the CC insurance market or should I make some calls. |

If you store it part of the year, you need to change over to storage insurance for that time, it's a significant savings. If you just have it ''for lookin' at'' then put it on a pedestal and put storage insurance on it.

I use Hagerty for a declared-value policy for my Suburban 2500. Great service in terms of getting the policy in place. Similar rate to my regular vehicles. Haven't had to make a claim, so I can't speak to that. |

Unfortunately there was just too much on the list and swampass season kicked in last week. |

Another vote for Hagerty although I also haven’t had to make a claim… Vehicle must be garaged and there needs to be another vehicle available for DD, which does NOT have to be insured by Hagerty. ‘22 Dodge Challenger Hellcat with a guaranteed value (not subject to depreciation) of $90K; max limits and $500 deductible is $1675/year. I can’t recall if a $1K deductible helped that much or not, I was so happy with the quote I just pulled the trigger. I’m also fairly certain there is NOT a yearly mileage restriction either. |

I know Heacock required DD to be a newer car as well. Nothing old that breaks down tempting you to drive the classic as a DD temporarily. |
| I have Hagerty. I had American Modern as a good friend wrecked his very nice 69 z/28 and they took great care of him, but last year they started getting funky and dropping a ton of agreed value classic car policies. My agent said they were in some financial trouble supposedly. Went to hagerty for not much more cost. Haven't had a claim so can't speak to that, but their reputation is good among all the car guys I've talked to. |

Have used Hagerty for my prior race trailer and race cars - as in tube frame, not street legal, race cars (STP coverage - Storage, Transport, Paddock) and also for a street-legal HMMWV. They have been excellent. Don't have anything that currently needs to be insured by them (well, maybe soon...). Will use them again, most likely. Hail totaled my race trailer, the salvage value was very low and the payout was very high - it almost cost what a new trailer would to repair it, so it all worked out in the end, kept the trailer less the salvage value...the hail damage didn't bother me that much. All policies I've had were agreed value. I had a mechanical with the HMMWV (go figure) and they sent a flatbed that delivered it *into* my garage! Top notch service all the way around. ETA: when it comes to specialty cars - and trailers - you can also insure the tools, spare parts, contents of the trailer (like the tool / pit boxes), etc. |

Hagerty. They don't give you a breakdown per car. All of mine are insured for what I told them they're worth. Some of them, they wanted a couple photos. One of them, they insured for 10x what I paid. I pay extra for the "cherished" option, where if something is totaled, you dont need to buy it back from them, you automatically keep it. I think that's like $5/mo per car. My total is like $250/mo for 8 or 9 cars. I made a claim on 2 trucks with them after Helene git a couple with some trees. They were super easy to work with and didn't fight me on anything at all. |
| For the past 3 years I've insured with Hagerty. Three vehicles agreed value with 100/300 bodily injury liability and UIM 100/300 and pay $1035.00 for the year. My previous policy was with American Modern, I switched to Hagerty for a better rate and coverage. |

It was a little more ($1,100 or so) per year for agreed value. I'll switch to Hagerty in two years unless my rates really drop. |
