A good friend of mine recently purchased a Colt 6920 per my recommendation. The gun consistently jams about every 50 rounds, the rounds stovepipe - upon checking out the feed ramps they did not look aligned at all so he sent it out to Colt per the instructions on their website. It has been 4 weeks so far and he called today to check the status and they told him an additional 4 weeks. Is it just me or does this seem ridiculous? I would be furious if it took 2 months to fix something that should take a couple hours...
Anyone else have experience with Colt? Does this sound correct? |

I would post the B.S. flag if I had it. No way would a Colt not function 100%. In fact, some will tell you they immediately could walk on water after a Colt purchase. Their customer service dept. would never allow that to happen as well. Your friend bought a fake Colt perhaps and couldn't tell the difference.
P.S. how was the fit and finish of the rifle? |

Sounds pretty Normal. Colt doesn't give a flying fuck about civilian sales. Kind of like a slightly less arrogant HK. He should have sent a covering note saying that he's concerned about his ability to reliably shoot canines when "doing my job" and "ensuring everyone goes home safe". </sarcasm> |

P.S. how was the fit and finish of the rifle? Fit and finish looked great, but the feedramps looked like hell. I tried 5 different types of mags through it also. Between 40-50 rounds every time, and the brass was all scratched up..... |

The 'Chart' says Colt is GTG so I can't believe the OP is telling the truth! ![]() Stay in the DPMS forum where you belong, I'm tired of you coming in to EVERY fucking Colt thread on this board to run your mouth. Anyway, standard turn around from them is about 30 business days. However, the factory was closed for a few weeks so that might be the reason they are backed up. They will take care of it. Colt replaced my dad's 6920 barrel no questions asked, within 30 days, without even asking if he is the first purchaser (he was not). |

I bought a Colt Combat Elite earlier in the year. They sent a note out about an improper heat treat lot of some parts that got out, and sent a recall notice.
I sent my 1911 to them on July 27. I had it back this Monday, the 3rd, with the effected part fitted and replaced. Colt's CS is fine. It wouldn't surprise me that their AR side is backed up abit, what with this whole "war" thing going on and all. 8 weeks isn't too bad. |

I posted a thread about how I'm leaving the site because a mod gave me a warning? Maybe you can point that out. Here is one: Sniff Sniff |

I didn't call you a troll, a moderator did according to your post in the colt forum. Who am I to disagree with a mod on this site? Sorry you don't like the fact that I don't drink the kool-aid. |
