| Looked at a colt HBAR, probably late 90's (did have a colt a4 upper...???), had a flash hider, no bayo lug, and the weird looking colt bolt...... Been fired very little little wear on the bolt. Did have some corrosion on the end of the barrel behind the flash suppressor.... Pinish looks good. Guy had put on BAD lever and carbine stock. Says he has the original shit. Its about 900.... Run or try to get it |

If it says "Sporter" and has the safety block in the receiver I'd pass. This. Did it have large pins? Easier to spot the block in the lower however. Problem here is you only have like 2 choices for aftermarket triggers and both are expensive. Or simply try to fit a 'better' mil spec and play with the springs. Ask me how I know. I fitted one of the last JP customs to mine, and bought the groups from 5-6ins to 2 inches at 100yrds. JP now only makes dropins like timney. Yeah its a real old hbar, and has had many thousands of rounds fired, and mag dumps galore. For an hbar I expect better, for a colt I expected better. I think $900 is a lot. I have 2 of these, and I do not expect to get my money back from either of them. My other has original trigger, and its awful. |

The one time I clamped it to a bench, they all touched. It shot better than I could. Other ammo not quite so good. It might have been a crummy trigger for some, I liked it. It wasn't smooth like the Colts and Smiths I used to shoot, but not bad. |
