Is the black SS Colt Rail Gun (part #:01980RG I think?) still being produced? If so, does anyone know who might have one in stock? I have been looking at a 1911 for some time and I keep coming back to this one, but it never seems to be in stock anywhere I look...

Colt makes them in batches. Some long dry periods.
I bought a plain stainless in 2011, Dehorned, trigger job, Series 70 conversion and Cerakoted OD green last year. The gun has really been great. Good luck on your search. (or just get a plain one and get all the sharp edges broken and coated). I think I paid just over $800 for mine. Good bargain, IMHO. |
