I need to recover a password in Win 2000 professional. This is an install on a old machine that the login password for admin. has been forgotten. I would appreciate any help.

Is there another account that has adminitrative access?

Is your file system NTFS?

Have you tried a repair install?

It should only have one Admin account on it. It is NTFS and no I have yet to try a repair install. I am going to try to go there this weekend. Will the repair install give me the change password option or what?

peekay, I appreciate it but this is a Win 2000 not NT setup. It is a home computer used for private business.
