What are most people carrying?
I am waiting for my license to get here.
I currently have a Kahr P9 that will be my carry gun,
but I am jonesing for a 45.  Do I just stay happy with the 9mm,
and continue to buy more mags and ammo, or do I go for a 45?

Thanks,

Natron

Have you found the 9mm lacking when it comes to shooting people?

.357 Model 640.   I find an earth shattering KABOOM to be much more satisfying than "pop, pop, pop."

Just to save you some time and a little bit of bandwidth, in poll after poll on arfcom, the G19 is the overwhelmingly popular choice for carry. Every time. This comes up now and then.

Incidentally, I carry a G19.

Was carrying a Kimber pro .45 but found myself rarely carrying it anymore. So my girlfriend picked me up a S&W .38 airweight for christmas. I think its alot easier to throw in the pocket especially if Im just running up to the store.

PF9 always since it's so easily concealable in a pants pocket

I add a G19 in either a Comptac paddle or CTAC when I'm out running around.  Most of the time, though, the PF9 and a spare mag are all I carry.

I don't feel bad about carrying 9mm since I carry 147gr +p HST.

I got sick of packing around full size .45s and got myself a USP Compact 9mm.  No regrets.

I carry a full size colt 1911 in .45 and a kahr cw 9 is a backup.

I have switched to a Kahr PM9 since I have to be more discrete than I have had to in the past.

Have both. I typically carry a G(renade)-19 or some type of 1911. Which ever I feel like grabbing.

Springfield Loaded 1911 w/ a Brommeland holster. I also carry 2 mags on me and practice a lot. I really like carrying single stack, especially during the summer.

Though, if you suck at shooting, go for the 9mm "fire for effect." You're bound (hopefully) to hit with one and (hopefully) annoy him enough to run him off.

Totally kidding about 9mm. I'm looking at adding a HK USP Tactical 9mm to my collection. Good Hunting!

I have tried several different types of pistols for concealed carry.  I have found the PF9 (9mm) as a nice, small carry, especially for suits when printing starts becoming a problem with larger frames.

7+1

Accessory rail for the X2 tactical light or laser

I also got an ankle holster...

It's very lightweight and slim.  I have no complaints.

Small enough for pocket pistol.

Compared to my SW99 9mm

And this is my mini backup...

NAA 22Mag

Glock 19 for about 6 years now.  Before that it was about 2 years with a 1911.
