Pro cycling has always been riddled with drugs. First it was cocaine and alcohol, them it was amphetamines and now it's blood doping and EPO. It doesn't make a difference anyway, the pros are still going to dope to win. Some will get caught, some will be clean but there's always going to be drugs in the pro-peloton. |

Expressing shock towards cheating in the pro peloton is like that scene in Casablanca when Captain Renault expresses shock that gambling has been discovered at Rick's Cafe' American. And that's why I love pro cycling....everybody knows that everyone else is cheating, they only make thinly veiled attempts at hiding it, and we all know it. In my opinion, this makes cycling the most honest sport out there today! Go get 'em Levi!!!!

It happend with Chinese and swimming in the 90s.... It was said to be thank to the magical turtle blood they were using.. We all knw how it ended... Same with Italy in the early 2000.. Started to win a lot in swimming... It's little secret that they were using undetectable stuff nowadays, Just study someone like Nadal.... His performance are closely related to his physical endurance... He has no regularity. And the doctor Fuentes deeply involved in the puerto affairs alluded to him too.. Watch a game of Barcellona FC... No doubt, they are a great team...maybe the best I have seen in 30 years.. But damn, in the last 25min of each game they run twice as much as any other team.. It's not just that they have a great athletic coach. In ten 10 years from now we will know the truth, you'll see |

Cycling is a pretty tainted sport. As a former racer with multiple friends who had the ability to go pro, I have first hand knowledge that illegal drugs have been rampant. I've heard more than a few stories of promising racers going to Europe to make a name for themselves only to return after a few seasons for the same reason, "to go any farther I'd have to use drugs, every one else was." Domestically they could race and do well however.

Contador is a Douche. But - The Tour has to come up with a way to make these determinations within a few days or a week. Stretching it out for a year and a half sucks for the fans and the teams. Imagine if the Superbowl winner or Indy 500 could be overturned a year and a half later? It does not help the sport. |
