All those movies I bought , What a a$$-kissing, hop-jumping affair this turned out to be.

I bought ADS-DVD Xpress to convert but it has a  1 gig limit . Most movies are 4-9 gig. So I Google and find a life time of reading , with most threatening jail time for copyright infringement.

I am not a computer geek nor do I want to be.  I am not looking to copy for profit just condense my collection.  Maybe this what I need to stop buying movies.

Just rent once and forget it. I will not pay 10-15 bucks to see a movie at the theater. Maybe I am just getting to old for there scams.

VHS has such crappy resolution compared to DVD that the time and effort involved wouldn't be worth it. Just buy the ones that you actually watch on DVD and rent the others as needed.

Or get some DVD copying software and rent and repopulate your collection that way.

Do not get the combos, they are known to have short lifespans.

I assume you already have a VCR? Buy a DVD recorder with RCA inputs. Newegg has a whole section on them, generally around $90. Connect your VCR to the DVD-R and copy away.

Best of all, no computer involved, no HD space needed.
