I have been craving something sweet and decided to make some cookies. These Oatmeal craisin and chocolate chip cookies just came out of the oven. These are going to be fucking delicious with some hot cocoa later Attached File |

FWIW, my wife is a gourmet cookie maker. Up until a few years ago she would typically make a dozen or so gross of cookies and we would mail them out to relatives and friends. The shipping got to be ridiculous and she also just gradually stopped wanting to bake so much. We finally gave away the garage freezer as it was used primarily just for cookie storage during the holidays. A typical Christmas load out was: Chocolate chip (w and w/o nuts for various sensitivities) Ginger Scotchies Itallian wedding Macarons (two day process) Peanut butter kisses Decorated gingerbread Decorated sugar cookies Snickerdoodles Lace Peppermint bark Blondies Oatmeal RAISIN (no g/d cranberries) Whoopie pies Linzer tortes Salted caramel topped chocolate brownies And I am sure that I am forgetting a few more. |

My bride likes us to eat as healthy as possible, so she makes me sourdough cookies with dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips.... even though the white chips aren't all that great for you, the cookies are the best I've ever had. Just 6 ingredients. Also, she makes is a loaf of sourdough bread once a week. Sometimes it's a rye, sometimes a wheat, sometimes a plain sourdough, and other times she adds goodies like black garlic, shredded cheeses, etc.. Haven't eaten a store bought loaf of bread in a couple years. |
