Police Test Taser Guns -- On Themselves POSTED: 9:50 a.m. CST December 17, 2004 UPDATED: 9:57 a.m. CST December 17, 2004 Story by TheHomeTownChannel.com ROGERS, Ark. -- Officers in Rogers got a shock, literally, when they showed up for work Thursday. Officers receiving Taser gun training got to feel the effects of the weapon first-hand with voluntary exposure shots on Thursday. Police said the weapons are a more peaceful alternative for subduing subjects than shooting them. The officers were not required to take the Taser gun shots, but most said they feel it was an important step for them to take. "Most of our officers chose to see what it feels like, because it gives them more confidence in their weapon, and it's easier to testify in court," said Kelly Cradduck, of the Rogers Police Department. And nobody was injurd or died from it. |
Hell, we have a lot tasing themselves while dry-stunning someone. Freind of mine got into a zapped a chick a few weeks ago while stuggling and when she pulled away, he passed his arm between the probes for a second. I think it fried his brain, but nobody really noticed since he's an idiot anyway.

Trust me, take the hit. That way you can testify that the reason you shot someone who went for your taser was justified. If someone goes for your taser and hits you with it you are in a deadly force encounter. They could easily strip your gun and kill you all the while you will be helpless. |
