I have seen it posted before to eat a half cup before bed, what is the reason for this?

The casein protein in it is slow digesting, therefore it digests overnight.
I can't stand the curds in it, so if/when I want to drink casein I just buy it or a blend of it and whey.

I eat it before I go to bed (when I have the discipline not to eat ice cream). Low carbs, low fat, and good amount of casin protein.
