Could we get our own "blue checkmark"? EE feedback kind of serves that role for a lot of people now, but it's imperfect. Nothing mandatory, but an option to prove your account belongs to a real person and not a bot? Show up in person to a Cola Warrior or APC event. Or have a couple of verified EE transactions. Or use an ID verification service. Even something like allowing long time, trusted members to vouch for someone they know outside of the Internet. Obviously people would go apeshit if it was mandatory, and there's certainly a lot of benefit to allowing anonymous posting, but as an opt in kind of thing it might be useful. |
