[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Counterfeit $20?

OK, so I picked up one of those markers that is supposed to tell you if your bills are counterfeits or legit. Well, I was going through this stack of $20s and I found one that according to the pen is a counterfeit...if I mark it on the front.

If I mark it on the back though the pen says it's good. The bill looks perfect. It has the strip and everything.

So what do I do?

Am I obligated now to call the Secret Service (which is the last thing that I want to do)?

Just use the back side of the bill.

If it has the threads through it that say 20 its legit. There may be something on front thats causing the negative

Maybe it is all the coke on it that is causing the issue

Go spend it asap so you don't get stuck with it, I would use it at WalMArt just to screw them .

IIRC those pens are just detecting starch, so it might just be that someone got some starch on the front of that bill.

they are also bleaching or cleaning the bills in a way that they're really teh correct paper, but the wrong amount. Look at teh thread and see what it says

Well, it's going to be hard to pay it forward now that it's got a great big mark on it from the counterfeit pen. And now if I do then it's intentionally passing counterfeit money.
