| Okay I am stuck and ran out of places to look for a answer. I am putting in a premade counter top and I need two 45 degree angels cut. Any advise on finding someone who can do that or any advise on how to cut it right? |
| I agonized over that very thing myself. My old farm house isn't square, plumb, or level. I finally brought the counter tops back to Lowe's and bought the materials to do a concrete counter top. It looks a lot better and is more durable. Costs about the same as the pre-made tops too. |

I really like mine. I made my cabinets; wrought iron, attached some 3/4" treated plywood to the top and cherry wood to the front. Used re-bar and metal lath along with some full length gussetts. The top is about 1 3/4" thick and took about 15 sacks of concrete IIRC. I added a quart of portland to each sack of concrete for strength. I have 60' of re-bar in 16' of counter top. Any decent cabinet will hold the weight. The hardest part was forming the hole for the sink. I'll go look for a picture. BRB |
