I've been just thinking about how i haven't been to Cracker Barrel in a few years.  Who likes their food?

Don't like their food at all but I do like their lemonade.  Always hated fighting through the crowds that arrived on tour coaches out of the blue.  This always seemed to happen no matter which part of the country I was in.

Not bad.  i like the breakfasts myself.  Saw a guy propose in one down in Maryland, just outside DC.  Got down on bended knee and all.

Deej, they did a little segment on CB on the Food Channel the other night, and their Chicken and Dumplings are their biggest seller, and the served 230MM lbs of it last year to 200,000,000 people.

My jaw dropped!  They make some really good food, and we saw a gazillion of them from Houston to Gatlinburg a few weeks ago.  They are everywhere!

I like the atmosphere and the Hamburgers.  My wife likes the breakfasts.    I love the candy.

Cracker Barrel super freak here

Food is ok, the breakfest is the best meal they serve.
However I cannot stand the seating. The place always seems full because the
tables are so close together. It annoys me so much I
wolf down my food and get heartburn.

Never been.  There's one in Sulphur, LA off of I-10 that I've been eyeing for lunch---I'm working in the area for the next month or so.

I like their Chicken and Dumplings too!  I also like their pancakes when I would eat breakfast.  But I haven't been there for breakfast in a while cause I go with the fam and my mom hates CB breakfast.

Love the food . . . hate the carbs and cholesterol.  I can feel my arteries hardening every time I walk out of that place!

That's because they are always right off the exit on an interstate.

edit;

They make a respectable attempt at homestyle meals. Good food for a chain restaraunt.

The biscuits are the best part! The rest of the food is good, too, but the biscuits are excellent. Or were you just hoarding more for yourself?

I'm a big fan of Cracker Barrel myself. Good bread, good sides, decent entrees, good price.

The biscuits are wet, heavy balls of raw dough!

Stay away from their stew.  They heat it in the aluminum porringer bowl and it tastes like aluminum.

Ok Deej...my take...

The burger is great with the seared bread
Grilled chicken salad is also the bomb
Biscuits and gravy...AWESOME!!!

I LOVE the CB!

Good food. What I can't stand is the extra hour I have to spend there while the wife fondles everything in their gift shop.

In 02, there were 27 Cracker Barrels between San Antonio and Bristol.

Yep, we counted.

If you're looking for a good case of the screaming shits just order the red-eye gravy.  Works every time!

Cracker barrel in NYC? Could you imagine?

I love Cracker Barrel!  We FINALLY got one down here in Florida City.  It's good food and you won't have to file bankruptcy when you take the Family out to Dinner.

I'm not a huge fan of Cracker Barrel, but I don't care much for breakfast in general. Occasionally I will eat a donut or a Pop-tart for breakfast, but that's it. Most days I don't eat until 11:30.

It's not like Mama's, but it's my only option for "Southern" cuisine in Boise, Idaho. (That Im aware of anyway.)

I just left there about 2 hours ago.

I love their food, but you usually have to wait a while to get it.

Ate at two different ones & had two different things & damn near shit all over myself both times. Same for the wife. Never again!

I loves me some CB. Roast beef dinner w/ mashed potaters, corn and fried okra. That's good eatin'.

My wife and I like to eat there.

She spends a lot of time in their gift area,so I plan ahead
and go before I'm really hungry.

Gotta do something for the better half once in a while .

Like most chains,if the manager sucks, they suck.

If the manager is a good one then the food is usually properly prepared.

Don't really see the appeal, myself. The food is mediocre, at best, and the seating situation absolutely sucks.
