| I am thinking about getting a Crossbow. I have just Always wanted one. I have a bow now and Its pretty cool just not quite what I wanted. I would just use it to target shoot and Maybe a little hunting. (I know the legals in certain areas dont need a Lecture here). I am thinking about getting a Excaliber Exocet. If you have a Crossbow Tell me what you think of it. What do you use to shoot at? |
| I've just got my crossbow two weeks ago and I love it so far. It's a barnett Revolution and I really don't know much about them except that I wanted one. My father in-law and I have been shooting at a regular bow compressed foam target,but it's not strong enough to stop the arrow (bolt) before it sinks more than halfway into the foam. we need something stronger so if you run across something let me know. |

I got a crobow a few years ago to hunt deer after I strained my shoulder. I really stacked up the deer that year and a couple of turkeys too!! They just cant get away if your on your toes. Quiet?? No not quite. Mine shoots a 20" bolt at 340 fps. It is very difficult to dampen that thing even with all of new material such as Navcom, the limbsaver stuff I think. But at 20 yds you can hardly distinguish the sound of the strings/limbs between the sound of the bolt hitting the animal. I still hunt with mine every year in an area that is designated primitive weapons here in KY. One thing though, it just isnt as sporty as bow hunting, just a hell of alot more meat on the table. BTW mine is the Buckmaster Maxpiont. 175lbs, zero let off!! Very,very powerful. Highly recomended.[:D] |
