Okay, as a long time Cub fan, maybe the tinfoil is a little to tight. But...am I the only one here that thinks that something was not quite right about the way this series went down? I mean, come on. In yesterdays game we were down 3 runs, we had had the bases loaded, with one out. And DeRosa has a 3-1 count. A fucking little leaguer knows to take the next pitch. What does he do? Hits into a double play and takes us right out of the fucking game, and the series. I don't understand it. Somebody help me here, what the fuck is wrong with them? I have been a loyal fan since 1968, the first game I ever went to at Wrigley as a kid. I don't think I can take much more of this shit.    FUCK!

After the 2003 fiasco, I refused to watch them in 2004. I needed a break from the frustration. I think I am going to take 2008 off also. This reminds me of 1984 in a way. On paper they were superior to the Padres, and had they made it to the World Series, they should have handed the Tigers their collective ass. But they couldn't even get past the Padres. Oh well, there is always the 2009 season. |
