I have a balding cypress in my yard that needed to be removed for my garden.  WTF should I do with it.  I wanted to make mulch with the smaller stuff, but I really don't want to wast the trunk.  It's a little over a foot in diameter at the base and was almost 30 ft tall.

There's at least 87 million bald cypress trees in this state. I would cut it down, cut it up and haul it to the dump.

Lowe's usually has cypress mulch on sale every July 4'th weekend for $1.50 a bag.

Your call.

You have cypress trees in your yard? Sell and GTFO before your shit floods. Don't ever build on property with cypress trees.

Find a local saw mill that will do custom work and have it made in to lumber.  Or you can buy a chain saw mill and make your on lumber.    The would have to dry a couple of years before you could use it though.

I would love to use the wood, and I don't know who would buy it.  It was also planted by the lady who lived here before me, so no flood issues.

Thought cypress was protected. Maybe not, but I got one and it is staying.

Damn, if you were closer or it didn't cost an ass load of money I would buy it from you.

Would saw it down and make some stuff out of it

Saw it down and let it dry and make some end tables or patio chairs out of it
