Greetings: I came across some old project files that were backed up ont 3.5" floppies using MS-DOS 5.X (probably) "Backup" command. This command creates two files on the floppy: BACKUP.00X and CONTROL.00X, where X=Disk Number. So if the Backup requires more than one 1.44Mb floppy, there will be BACKUP.001, .002, etc. I need to "Restore" these on my Windows 2000 machine. Anyone know of a utility to do this. A Google search turned up a lot of documentation for how the Backup/Restore system works, but I haven't found a program that will do it, yet. I continue to search, but hopefully someone here has or knows of the way to do it. Notice how deftly I avoided the "h" word? ![]() Thanks in advance! |
