Looking for a DSLR bag that doesn't look like a camera bag. I ran across the Voodoo Tactical Padded bag (http://www.voodootactical.net/p-1029-voodoo-tactical-15-0457-stakeout-padded-concealment-bag.aspx) and the Hazard 4 Gear Photo Recon Bag (http://www.gearbunker.com/evac-photorecon_p_15.html). The Photo Recon Bag is a bit too big for the gear I have, but I'm concerned that the Voodoo bag may not have enough protection. Thoughts/Suggestions? Current kit is a DSLR with 2 lenses (biggest is a 55-300) and other misc camera schwag.

I use a maxpedition. It doesn't look like a camera bag and looks cool. Works great for me.
Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack ETA: I keep my D3100 with a smaller lens attached (35mm) and my 55-300 in another padded case in the bottom of the bag. Plenty of pockets to hold other misc stuff such as batteries, flash cards, etc. |

Don't need Tacticool.... but anything that looks like a laptop bag or camera bag will draw un-wanted attention in my area... unfortunately calling it "high crime" is an understatement. Being a military town, the "tactical" looking stuff doesn't usually get a second look. |

Gotcha...I always wanted one of these, but these days, they do sorta look like a laptop bag, though almost everything relatively flat does...

I've been using a Think Tank Retrospective for a while now.
Looks like every other messenger bag out there. Holds 2 SLRs an old Rolleiflex, plus film and lenses no problem (when I want to carry all that stuff that is). |

Just thought I'd post an update..... After talking it over with the wife, I decided a Kata 3N1-25 Pro backpack was the way to go. It has the sling option as well as a backpack function which will be nice. Additionally, there is a secondary area that will be big enough to cover a "diaper blow out kit" for when my son is with me, which is just about always. I found one for a great price and should have it here in about a week. On a side note, MSRP on the bag is $200.... not sure where Amazon got their $300 from. |

The jumbo has the grab handle too. I actually like the pull-cord. I've been out in some nasty stuff and it gives me some piece of mind that my gear isn't getting soaked. Also in good weather, the flap folds down out of the way. |
