Sometimes when I put in/out a  new movie in my DVD player I get a little shock.
A small blue flash with a small snap sound when I touch it. (maybe static electricity)
Today the shock was a little worse.... Now my DVD player does not work.

Help...

Might have killed the board that runs it,is operated like a .03 volt power and static will smoke things easy in that range.
Sounds like you got a dry house, walk fast on carpets or have shoes that create static real easy.Get a humidifier as that helps or place something metal near the player and touch it before getting the DVD in or out. You can smoke a computer board just with just a touch  and one blue spark and it is reccommened that you ground yourself out before touching low voltage electronic equipment. There is a safe circuit that SOMETIMES will reset and work again by unplugging it for a few hours then plug back in.
If not time to buy another Apex $20 DVD player
