I am trying to hook up a PC to a TV. The PC video card has DVI and VGA outputs, and the TV has VGA-inputs along with HDMI inputs.

Can I buy a DVI to HDMI adapter and connect the PC card's DVI output into the TV's HDMI input?

Do I have to do any type of setup in the PC (changing the video card driver settings)?

Thanks in advance.

Yes .

BJC Series-2 DVI/HDMI Cables

I don't have this but the other items I have gotten here (e.g.: straight HDMI cables) work great and hold up perfect.

I've seen the adapters for sale, but I wanted to know how the PC and TV would interface using that instead of the VGA input on the TV.

Its still all based on resolution.

Just as long as you set the resolution to be the native resolution of you display, it won't matter.
