Is HDMI a better connection quality than DVI for my desktop?

I noticed on my graphics card there's an HDMI connection, currently I'm using the DVI now.

They are electronically the same. Only difference is that HDMI carries audio too.

nope, PC - i was just confused about the connections. I assume VGA is lesser quality?

You would be correct. VGA is an analog signal.
