Our club does a D-Day match every year, unfortunately I had to miss it to attend my bro's wedding.  The pictures were taken by another club member.

MATCH INFO


RIFLE: Any rifle used during the invasion of the Normandy Coast June 6th, 1944. Only rifles
with Iron sights may be used. Fixed bayonets are optional. Swedish Mausers accepted. NO OTHER RIFLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE LINE.

COURSE OF FIRE: 80 shots – HUMAN SILHOUETTE TARGET
There will not be any sighting rounds allowed
Stage 1: Any position, 30 record, 300 yards, 5 minutes
Stage 2: Any position, 25 record, rapid fire, 200 yds, 3 Minutes
Stage 3: Any position, 25 record, rapid fire, 100 yds, 150 seconds (2 ½ minutes)

EQUIPMENT: Rifle, field gear (canteen, bayonet, ammo belt), No - stools, spotting scopes
(binoculars okay), shooting mats (shelter halves okay).

CLASSIFICATION: ALL SHOOTERS WILL COMPETE IN ONE CLASS.

AWARDS: There will be awards for each of the top five shooters.

I noticed the Thompson in one of the pics.    How did it fare in the long range competition?
