Probably no antenna port on that laptop, would need a USB or P-Card adaptor. Better plan... buy a Linksys WRT54GL router, load DDWRT open source firmware, and use the router as a bridge. That's what I'm doing in my downstairs office, works great and gives me 4 wired ports locally connected to each other and all connected to the remote router.
Total cost $59 + antenna if needed. ETA: DDWRT lets you adjust the powere level of your router, buy two WRT54GLs and you'll be rockin... DD-WRT |
