So I went last week to register and title my boat trailer. Sales tax is 3%, so I figured I'd be paying around $20 in tax, $10 for the title, and $52 for the permanent registration. NOPE. They have a minimum tax of $35! Those sorry cocksucking bastards! And then they set their clocks ahead about 8 or 9 minutes so when you look at the time on the little numbered slip of paper, you think you've only been in there for a couple of minutes. And then you have the clerk at the info desk who doesn't pay any attention to you because he's flirting with the semi-good looking 20 year old gal who's just flirting right back. And then, after your number is called, you have the clerk who walks away from her workstation for 10 minutes while in the middle of completing your order. And then you've got the drug-addled long hair who doesn't have a fucking clue. The guy who taps you on the shoulder to ask you what day it is. The guy who spends 20 minutes completing his forms and then walks up to a window before his number is called.  Thank God I only have to visit the place three times a year. |
