Well, I ordered a pair of Danner Explorers today. I was looking for something that would be comfortable for wearing around the neighborhood and the range. That is the most I have ever paid for a pair of boots or shoes. I thought spending $60 to $85 for a pair of shoes was expensive. Baker's shoes is running some specials on their website. How much off? They are listed for about $210 I believe on their website. These came out to be about $171 all said and done.

I felt the same way when I bought my first pair of Danners. Now, I wouldn't own anything else. They last forever and they are the most comfortable boots and shoes that I have ever worn.

Danner Boots......they only hurt when you pay for them. Then you'll swear it was some of the best money you've ever spent.

I been wearing the Ft Lewis for a few years daily here.

I got to find something to wear when I get them resoled.

I finally killed my Ft Lewis a year ago, they had been re-soled 3 times before the Gore-tex membrane started leaking. Original date of purchase 1987
