Anybody hide the wires on a dash cam for front and rear? I have a new MB, that doesn't have the dash cam option and I don't trust myself to do it. I've looked for battery or solar powered version but not finding anything I like yet. I've seen the YouTube videos but maybe I'll ask the dealer about an outside installer. |

Viofo 2 channel dash cam. Comes with front and rear cams, with wire to connect front (main) to rear camera. Viofo Website I installed one in my work truck in case of traffic incidents. No traffic incidents yet, but some amazing moments of hilarity. It's relatively easy to install, and as others have said, tuck wires into the edges of headliner. My truck has side airbags and there's no interference. The cam system is relatively sharp during the day, and is also sharp at night if there's light provided. After ignition has been turned off, it "wakes up" in case of your car being hit and records whatever the camera's pointed at. Because of that, it needs to connect to an always hot and an ignition hot line. I suggest looking into a make-specific installation kit. I think mine was $35 and worth the reduced hassle. Edit: It can also be connected to an inside camera. That's extra and I didn't do it. |
