This showed up on my system yesterday. I went to the website to see what it was and found this

"How much does Date Manager cost?
Date Manager is FREE. It is part of the Gator Advertising and Information Network (GAIN). GAIN helps keep many popular software applications and services free in exchange for delivering ads, information, and software based on the web sites you view."

I got rid of it but I don't know where it came from!

Beware!

SPYWARE!!!

Gator is spyware.

Go to www.lavasoftusa.com

Download adaware. IT is like an Antivirus, only i removes programs that contain spyware. I use it all the time!

Gator == Spyware == Evil!

If you're not running Ad-Aware already I strongly suggest it.  If you have managed to get something from Gator installed on your system, there's probably more crap lurking in the background.

Get a copy and make sure you get the ref update program as well to keep it up to date.

Yah, thats what I use to rid my computer of spyware.  You gotta update the reference file just like the antivirus software.  I also recommend IE-SPYAD http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~ehowes/resource.htm as added protection.
