Is there a utility or something that would identify dead links in all my bookmarks? I have literally thousands of bookmarks from the lats 10 years on my computer and would like an easy way to weed out the dead from the living.

If only there was a web site that had a searchable list of everything on the web...
You just type in what you're looking for and it give you a list of what it found. http://www.aignes.com/deadlink.htm
