Saw it. Was not disappointed.
Definitely going to see it at least one more time in theaters. Deadpool: Holy shit. You save the good stuff for special occasions? Wolverine: Killing, mostly. Fucking bricked. |
|
|
I laughed almost non stop. Between the lines, the music choices, the cameos. It was all awesome. It was one of those movies that had the whole theater laughing out loud. Took my (adult) kids last night, told the wife how good it was. Will definitely be going again to see it.

Saw it in IMAX.. I think sound was a little loud in my theater but the music choices were amazing. I’m a big MCU fan (well, except for almost anything after Endgame).
Just enough slower scenes to breathe and give exposition. Fight choreography was sooooo good. I can’t wait to see behind-the-scenes stuff. |

Just got back from the theater.
It started off slow, I was a little miffed they didn't do the opening credit thing where they actually didn't list who did what. Also was worried they were leaning into it too hard with the beginning dancing scene (kind of reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy Pt 2). But it got better and many feels were felt at the end. All in all, good stuff! |

I don’t think this warrants its own thread, but since it’s MCU…
Having RDJ play Doctor Doom in an Avengers film is a smart choice (at least in terms of box office). I guess he’ll be a Tony Stark variant? Attached File Attached File |

Personally I was disappointed. Deadpool 1 is in my top favorite films. Deadpool 2 was good. Seeing Cable as the villian, THEN seeing his reasoning into being a sorta good guy were awesome.
I did not care for it, probably won't rewatch until it's free somewhere. Reason being: Pros: Lots of cameos and a good soundtrack. The multiple deadpools at the end was awesome. As was Dogpool. Cons: Less banter. More just angry "Shut up" and "You're stupid/mean" VS witty comebacks than previous. Example: DP3 all the exchange with Blind Al was her just being mean and ornery. VS 1 and 2 of the IKEA furniture falling apart, her eating it over a roomba, the cure for blindness, etc. A focus on action sequences vs character interaction. To me previous deadpool the action scenes themselves conveyed jokes, etc. VS just pure action/fight. Admittedly it IS a superhero movie. But I enjoyed deadpool movies as they had less. A total of 2 minutes of Morena Baccarin. Plus secondary characters. I know it's a deadpool AND wolverine movie, but Du-Pinter, Blind Al,etc. are all what set DP apart in my opinion. It honestly reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 VS the first 2, which were awesome. |
