Haven't looked at any comic since the early 90's, and the only MCU franchises I've kept up with are X-Men & Deadpool -- I probably missed a couple of jokes because I've not seen the Loki TV show or Avengers movies.
All that said, this was still the best big-screen event since Maverick. SIX out of five stars. Would recommend. Also, plenty of jokes peppered into the closing credits, great Easter egg at the end. |

I think it’s a lazy plot device. Now it just seems like movies are relying on it even more. What was interesting about Loki is that it was counter-multiverse. The whole premise of the show was about an organization created to limit the multiverse to one time line. Any variation got nixed. While I feel the last few episodes were just rushed, the concept of character growth really came to the forefront. Female Loki ended up giving up on revenge & desiring power, just wanted t9 live a normal life. Key Loki embraced a destiny with power, but in a manner of servitude & a protector, when he too wanted to just settle down with the female Loki. |

Reason being: Pros: Lots of cameos and a good soundtrack. The multiple deadpools at the end was awesome. As was Dogpool. Cons: Less banter. More just angry "Shut up" and "You're stupid/mean" VS witty comebacks than previous. Example: DP3 all the exchange with Blind Al was her just being mean and ornery. VS 1 and 2 of the IKEA furniture falling apart, her eating it over a roomba, the cure for blindness, etc. A focus on action sequences vs character interaction. To me previous deadpool the action scenes themselves conveyed jokes, etc. VS just pure action/fight. Admittedly it IS a superhero movie. But I enjoyed deadpool movies as they had less. A total of 2 minutes of Morena Baccarin. Plus secondary characters. I know it's a deadpool AND wolverine movie, but Du-Pinter, Blind Al,etc. are all what set DP apart in my opinion. It honestly reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 VS the first 2, which were awesome. View Quote |

It was pretty good, better than the second one.
You could tell they both cared and wanted it to be their goodbye film for the series. The shtick can get old pretty quick, so they had to be careful, but I think they did a good job of it. I still think going forward that Deadpool would make a good pop up cameo character in the MCU, but there's not much left for him to star in. Like imagine he just shows up a Spiderman movie (I know, Sony owns it, but still) while Spidey is doing something cool and he tries to mimic it then yells "catch me spidey" but just falls and gets wadded up while yelling "You dick!". |

Saw it today with my kids. I'd give it a 6 or 7 out of 10. I'm ok with some foul language and sexual humor but they seemed to rely on it a lot in place of actual good writing. The Deadpool vs Wolverine fighting was overdone and quite frankly, boring and pointless. I mean, no matter what they do they're both going to heal anyway, right?
