| I don't know why, but almost all Priuses (sp?) that I encounter on the roadway are inching along at a snail's pace compared to the flow of traffic. Can your car really not go any faster? |

It gets to the point that whenever I see a Prius flying down the road, acting like a normal driver, I want to roll down my window and tell them that they almost redeemed their entire demographic...but instead I just remind myself that it's an isolated incident. It really isn't as isolated as you think. The accelerator gets stuck often. |

Learning from working at toyota service department for the last couple years i can tell you that prius drivers have their own breed.... There is of course the small exceptions as anything. Yep, I've brought this up before, but one of my friends has one, is a senior Captain at American Airlines flying a 767, ex Marine Harrier pilot, Naval Academy grad, all around super cool guy. He lost one of his good friends when the terrorists slammed one of the American Airlines jets into the towers, and ever since then, he isn't interested in sending any more of his money overseas for oil. He said he knew the fuel saved from buying one of of those things won't do diddly squat, but he said he just feels better knowing that he did "something". He is normally a very cool and calm individual, but i could just sense the rage he had built up about his friend (and a whole lot of other people) getting killed that day. Anyway, he's a great guy. vmax84 |

Most of the time I see them they are doing like 95mph. They I hear them complain they get shitty mileage.
The tiny gas engine has to work like a fat guy running a marathon at those speeds. Small turbo diesels seem to be a much better choice, but what the fuck do I know. |

(this thread was inspired by the left lane campers thread of earlier evening fame) |
