I don't know why, but almost all Priuses (sp?) that I encounter on the roadway are inching along at a snail's pace compared to the flow of traffic.  Can your car really not go any faster?

They are almost as bad as smart car owners...

Fags.

I don't blame them, it would be dumb to spend all the money on that car and not try to hyper mile it.

they think its a game to see what the MPG meter reads.... they get top MPG at right around 50MPH. (direct from the mouth of a prius owner)

i would think they would have geared it differently to get best MPG at 55-60mph

I swear I fucking hate smart stupid cars.

Those things are dangerous.  I have yet to see someone who can keep those things straight on the highway on a windy day.

Learning from working at toyota service department for the last couple years i can tell you that prius drivers have their own breed.... There is of course the small exceptions as anything.

It gets to the point that whenever I see a Prius flying down the road, acting like a normal driver, I want to roll down my window and tell them that they almost redeemed their entire demographic...but instead I just remind myself that it's an isolated incident.

They like to smell their own farts.

It really isn't as isolated as you think.  The accelerator gets stuck often.

He may have found the perfect way to hide from the gubbermint.

Brilliant plan.

Yep, I've brought this up before, but one of my friends has one, is a senior Captain at American Airlines flying a 767, ex Marine Harrier pilot, Naval Academy grad, all around super cool guy.

He lost one of his good friends when the terrorists slammed one of the American Airlines jets into the towers, and ever since then, he isn't interested in sending any more of his money overseas for oil.  He said he knew the fuel saved from buying one of of those things won't do diddly squat, but he said he just feels better knowing that he did "something".   He is normally a very cool and calm individual, but i could just sense the rage he had built up about his friend (and a whole lot of other people) getting killed that day.

Anyway, he's a great guy.

Most of the time I see them they are doing like 95mph. They I hear them complain they get shitty mileage.

The tiny gas engine has to work like a fat guy running a marathon at those speeds. Small turbo diesels seem to be a much better choice, but what the fuck do I know.

As an avid motorcycle rider, I fucking HATE Prius drivers. They are all fucking idiot liberal retards who not only have trouble going the speed limit, but they never fucking look when they change lanes. I avoid them like the fucking plague.

I didn't say that Prius drivers were terrible people––obviously they are trying to contribute to "the greater good" somehow...but they're always puttering along, and often in the left lane.  (this thread was inspired by the left lane campers thread of earlier evening fame)

every prius i drove as a valet smelled like complete shit. rotting food, people's rotting dandruff and human filth ground into the seats and floor mats, never washed.
those pieces of shit give me nightmares.

Around here they drive with the flow of traffic.
